the continuation from 5th October

OKAY LOOK I KNOW I AM LIKE 8 DAYS LATE FROM THE CONTINUATION but i was enjoying the remnants of my recess week okay so...let me have it please. 

5th Oct: had this sunset on wheels biking thing...and okay i have so much to say. first, i went by myself. and i got put into a group whom i had never met anyone in before. i mean, i later found out that 5/8 ppl were from SIT so yea there's that - how many people would ik from SIT right. 

second, the two girls that i rmb from the first time i went biking were busy in their own grp and that was like 6 wks ago so i didnt know if they still rmb me (it turned out that they did cuz one of them did come up to me and ask me for my IG during like dinner which was DAMN RANDOM but ig it made me happy so in the end i got both IGs yay). 

third, the ride itself was quite fun but for some reason it felt shorter than expected. maybe its bcos im not winding through so many hdb blocks or stopping at so many traffic lights, but i kinda expected a little bit of a longer route. 

fourth, a lot of people got injured. i swear like almost every grp had at least one person fall (including mine) and idk feels damn bad for exco cos they have to (by right) indicate all of that in the aar. tough. 

fifth, i think that the group itself was quite fun (its j that the other two smu ppl WHO ARE NICE cycled q far behind cuz the girl was kinda slow and inexp, sothe guy she dragged along as a 'safety' companion had to stay behind a lil bit with her. so for the first half of the ride i was just sticking to the SIT ppl in front, and after that i just went behind to the smu pair). and also omg i found out that the smu guy is in toastmasters and they have so much tea which I WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO KNOW so i had to play dumb LMAO. 

then afterwards during dinner we just went to like the hawker and dabao a shit ton of food. and see a shit ton of ants visiting whatever leftover food we had as a shrine cuz why not. and there was a cockroach too for the love of it. and yea overall it was nice talking to ppl and meeting new ppl :)

6th Oct: acf elections. so as elections officer i had to go back school on a SUNDAY. thank god this finished in a day bcuz no one failed first round voting and there was a simple majority winner for those with 3 or more candidates (somehow) in the first round so yea it finished WAY FASTER than expected. ig the only downside was that there was this one guy who pulled out (for reasons idk) and in the end there is one additional empty slot in the committee now. also went to study w the p and vp of the incoming co batch (cuz i had nth to do and they were alr in school for the elections and wanted to study) so i just went to study with them. then in the end i also found out that the sims wants to re-run as marketing director (or rather get co-opted in) because she 'has good vibes with the new exco?' well GOOD LUCK BABE(s) pls make the right choice to accept or reject omg i may actually selfban from cca if this happens sweet lord. 

7th Oct: softball chalet! idk the chalet this year felt WAY more toned down (i mean, no one's electronic devices were threatened to be flushed down the toilet bowl and no one tore an ACL) and also i think there were less drinking games. but lowk kinda fomo cuz i had a project call at 11pm and i think that was the time when they kinda all grouped together to just play some drinking games. i swear all the food this year was mostly wingstop or pizza or smth like vv few ppl actly ate the bbq food (excluding marshmallows). but ig thats what happens when u take almost 1.5h to start the bbq fire LOL. also the alcohol this year was used so much for just sitting at the tables and just trying to play 7up or other niche games or being used as a beverage and not as part of a drinking game that i feel like the games all came and went damn fast and people mostly just ended up interacting with each other and spilling the lore of softball. and also there was this guy who was mixing egg liqueur with lime juice and sparkling water and omg i drank too many shots of that within 15mins (like 8 shots) and i felt so tipsy the rest of the evening (this is literally my weakness for alcohol i cannot drink it fast)

ig it was nice to like talk to a lot of the freshies (again, i swear there are more girls than guys in softball rn) and i think alot of them (for some reason) are damn introverted. except a couple of them that got very wild when they were tipsy, the rest were kinda chilling within their friend group or just not really interrupting. and i think in that regard it was very mellow. i swear the topics in the big groups (because thats where i was) was just: softball (now and history in smu and also their prev schools) and studies, and there wasnt much talk about other random stuff like those truth or dare typa stuff or those random topics of convos. oh yea also there wasnt really a clubbing moment LOL. then past midnight i think everyone just sat inside and tried not to get a noise complaint, and just talked more about the same stuff cuz we just changed sitting positions, and i think after that it was just overcooked (i have NEVER SEEN an overcooked so chill before) and i think it was just more softball gossip LOL. or baseball cuz why not. 

8th Oct: just sleep in lmao wtf the 4hrs of sleep was not it. i mean ig its kinda nice to just have a day off right. and also softball ppl r rly nice and chill hehe. 

9th Oct: omg went back to school and there was only 3 ppl studying?? wtf man. then the new vp dragged in some of her frens cuz they were kicked out from their PREVIOUS sr and so just made more new frens! then aft that i went to chill with the scis gang that i sometimes just crash (shamelessly?) for dinner and i tried the kebab behind parklane for the first time. JEEZ i have not eaten such a big portion since being in germany where the kebabs were literally the same size (by kebab i mean like they serve u in a platter and it has a lot of meat and vege (and i had even more cuz i ordered with a salad base) and i just kinda took my time eating it LOL. 

also i j wna say i think ppl study btr in library or by themselves like i think studying in sr is so disruptive cuz u end up yapping HAHAHA

10th Oct: softball training! i still cant fix my batting (yes that time i fixed it it was a one time thing) i swear its just the timing like i almost always feel like im swinging too late (and i think it is also me having that tendency recently to lift the bat after i make contact with the ball so i kinda dont have a follow through to power the ball) but yea its def more so the timing i think. 

11th Oct: soooo went back to school AGAIN to study and it was the same old. in the end never even go for CO LOL just went back for dinner (after an unproductive day). also how do only 6 ppl end up going for CO HAHAHAHHA. and i think this is where i feel like both the new mktg and p have a crush on the vp of softball LMAO idek man the way they interact is kinda...crushy cutesy but without being like a pickme or over-the-top cringe yknow
