final daily/weekly recap of 2024

week of 22nd december to the end of december - ngl i was abit annoyed at first that a mahjong session at my place was cancelled bcos someone last min cmi...but i think that it was a blessing in disguise ngl. bcuz the day before this (21st december) the fking FAS decided to announce that the tickets for the aff cup semis was only to be sold in person and so i had to go down and queue on sunday morning (and i knew that if i had mahjong that day i would not have been able to make it). so i did end up going down on sunday morning to wait in the queue of throngs of people and there was an insane amount of people in the queue even though i went like half an hour earlier (which was delayed bcos of sussy stomach syndrome once again). and i kinda knew from the start that my position in the queue was okay but a little bit precarious after doing some brainy maths of how many people would be ahead of me in the queue (which i calculated roughly to be about 1200 people in front of me..i think in the end there were probably about 1500). and i ended up having to queue for almost 6 hours to get some of the last few tickets (i think anyone who was slightly more than 50 people behind me couldnt get tickets anymore). and ig it was the thrill of the chase but some people in the crowd were just...unnecessarily rowdy? like there was this moment where the host/emcee was trying to encourage people to buy the merch even if they couldn't get tickets and the people around me were like audibly telling her to shutup bcos they came primarily for the tickets and not the merch. i mean i unds the frustration (i was frustrated too esp bcos there were only 4 counters inside handling the orders and ppl were taking obnoxiously long to decide what seats to get). but i mean the emcee just doing her job also lah abang...

anyways on monday i went for mala lunch with some of the wingstop gang...and we just shopped around after that for some adhoc stuff (i bought some shoes from beyond the vines for 89 bux which my mom said felt like her high school shoes and it felt cheap...well i mean it IS 89 bux...). aaaaanyways i also really felt the effects of the diarrhoea and whatever food poisoning i had from msia the prev few days cuz i literally had to shit 5 times and it was NOT FUN (at least 5 times btw it might be more). it was so bad i had to fking buy pochai pills bruh i had never needed to take pochai before in my frickin life

went to dye my hair red on tuesday! idk if i was inspired by player 456 in squid game or merida from brave (my hair is def more player 456-esque than merida's shade, but i take both badasses as inspo ig). bleached it for the first time, really felt the force of the chemicals this time because of the bleach (and also thankfully it isnt too obnoxiously bright bcuz my hair was already very black/dark before the bleach). as expected my mom scolded me for 'wasting money and bleaching to harm my hair'. but anyways im not evicted or anyth and thats why i havent whined on trying to find a new house or begging anyone of yall to adopt me LOL

dressed up as the grinch on christmas. literally full green outfit with my red hair. and met the connex study gang (who doesn't follow this account...yet?) had some drinks in katong as well (idk why my tolerance kinda tapped out at 4 mixed shots of rum and half a bottle of soju when i could drink more during starry night...i think it was cos each shot was quite heavy in rum). but anyways as we got more tipsy into the night we all started spilling lore about our rls (or, the three of them spilled lore about their rls while i spilled lore on who i was chasing LOLLL) and idk WHEN THE FK THIS HAPPENED BUT END DECEMBER IS NOW EMO-RELATIONSHIP/BREAKUP SEASON???? bruh it is not the most wonderful time of the year fr. but yea it was great company. and as much as a couple of them were in the dumps abt their rls i think i just...tried my best with the rest to try to see what could be salvaged. 

witnessed the farce of vietnamese assistant referee on thursday. maybe it was because my full red outfit was not just a walking red flag but also 'more in the vietnamese shade of red than singapore', but i think that sg actly played p well. like there is more passing structure now and we are more confident playing out of the back against a side that is ranked about 50-60 spots higher in the fifa rankings. honestly if not for a dogwater right winger and a couple of sussy defenders i think we cld have actly won the game. but alas, like previously mentioned, vietnamese assistant referee came to the rescue for them. yes, the vietnamese penalty IS a penalty, but i will never understand how we didn't get a penalty about 10-15 minutes earlier in the game. and i think this is what makes basketball better - at least they tell u the reason for the verdict instead of telling you the verdict only. something something procedural justice and ethical dilemmas ig. 

met up with the full wingstop gang for lunch on fri. just spilled more tea. something about the wackiness of the gang just...keeps me sane. nth else to share here that is groundbreaking and open to public. also had the weekend mostly to myself except for a sat lunch w isabel (cant even remember when i last saw her lmao) but yea we will be seeing each other again in slightly more than a week! 

was supposed to have lunch w abby and elgin before abby flew to japan but girl has some weakass immune system so we had to cancel it so she can recover before flying to japan to get some good japanese food. so in the end had the monday to myself xd. 

and finally, new year's eve! spent some time w reiko for dinner and just yapped about stuff and we tried the hot hideout at kinex...honestly p decent i swear they never had the secret powder at any other outlet and i somehow liked the rice with mala there a lot...idk if its because its stirfry and not soup mala but it just felt so much better than eating it with noodles. also she encouraged to buy grapes for new year's LOL so i did do the challenge for the first time and i happened to do it 5 mins before midnight bcuz i thought u were supposed to do it right before the clock strikes midnight. and instead i found our right after u were supposed to do it after the clock strikes midnight in ONE MINUTE? okay ig i j hope i find a gf aft 23 fking years xd and ngl im lowkey optimistic abt this year...smth just feels different but we have another 360+ days to figure out eh..

anyways end of 2024! full year overall review will come...by the end of the week (ik atp my promises here are kinda pointless bcos i keep breaking them so im asking u like a gambling addict parent to trust me one last time pls)
